Biloxi based law firm Bryant, Dukes & Blakeslee, P.L.L.C. has recently merged with Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush, P.A. The firm will operate as Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush, P.A.
“The merger of our firms is a classic win-win situation for our clients and attorneys,” says Tucker Mitchell, managing shareholder of the combined firm. “This merger allows us to provide our clients with a broader scope of services and the efficiencies that result from multiple locations within the state.” Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush sees the merger as an opportunity to join forces with the oldest and largest firm on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, Bryant, Dukes & Blakeslee rebuilt in Biloxi after their Waveland and Gulfport locations were destroyed. Through these obstacles, Bryant, Dukes & Blakeslee remained a stronghold on the coast.
“This move will allow our attorneys to continue to provide great service to our clients with the support of one of the largest law firms in the state of Mississippi,” stated Bill Whitfield, managing shareholder of Bryant, Dukes & Blakeslee.
The firm is full service and now has 76 attorneys, with their office network extending to Ridgeland, Biloxi, Hattiesburg and Washington D.C. The firm specializes in oil and gas law, and insurance and commercial litigation and boasts practices in healthcare, bankruptcy, taxation, estate planning, and probate.
