Bio
Monte Barton joined the firm in 1991 for general civil trial practice and litigation. Since then, he has primarily worked defending clients in personal injury and property damage lawsuits based on theories of products liability, premises liability, and negligence; contract and business litigation; employment law and related litigation; intellectual property and other general legal matters. He regularly advises and consults with a diverse range of clients about the risk evaluation and planning of recreational activities and public events, technology issues, agriculture and forestry, insurance, zoning, aviation, manufacturing, and other business and individual matters.
Mr. Barton is admitted before all of Mississippi’s State and Federal Courts, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and he has tried cases and handled appeals at all levels in Mississippi’s state and federal courts.
