LaToya T. Jeter was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 27, 1981. She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2003. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2006.
While in law school, Mrs. Jeter served as a student editor and reseracher for the Journal of Space Law. She authored "The Status of the Outer Space Treaty at International Law During 'War' and 'Those measures Short of War'" published by the Journal of Space Law, July 2006. Mrs. Jeter is also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Before joining the firm, Mrs. Jeter served as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice James Graves of the Mississippi Supreme Court. She practices in the firm's insurance defense and litigation sections. She is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. She and her family reside in Brandon. | |
