Mike Baxter was born on March 26, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee. He graduated from Delta State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. He attended law school at the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1988.

Mr. Baxter has tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts in Mississippi involving the defense of personal injury, wrongful death products liability, premises liability, and other insurance related matters. He has also handled claims involving construction and contract disputes, employment and heathcare related maters.

Mr. Baxter is admitted to practice before all Mississippi state courts, all Mississippi federal courts, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Baxter is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Mississippi Claims Association and is the current president of the Madison County Bar Association. In addition to his affiliation with the professional organizations, he is a frequently invited guest speaker at seminars involving personal injury, premises liability, and insurance related topics.
