As an attorney in the Internal Revenue Service's Office of Chief Counsel from 1987 to 1992, Mr. Sanderson worked on a wide range of individual and corporate tax matters involving the regulatory and enforcement functions of the I.R.S. He now advises individual and corporate clients on tax planning and represents taxpayers in controversies with the I.R.S. or Mississippi State Tax Commission at the examination and collection levels, on administrative appeal, and in litigation. Mr. Sanderson has represented several clients in obtaining rulings from the I.R.S.'s National Office on transactions with income tax or estate tax implications.
